Choose from two available engines for the 2025 RAM 2500. Both are amazingly capable. Look for the 6.7L Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel for best-in-class standard torque. Or, select the always-steady 6.4L HEMI® V-8. The high-output turbo-diesel was only previously available for the RAM 3500, so drivers in Paradis can now benefit from a more powerful engine under the hood.

2025 RAM 2500 Towing Capacity

Counting the vaunted turbo-diesel engine, the 2025 RAM 2500 towing capacity is rated at 36,610 pounds, which is a slight decrease from 2024 (but not by much). Similarly, the maximum payload capacity dropped to 7,590 pounds in 2025, also down just a bit. These slight dips in capacity are due to a tradeoff between power and efficiency. You’ll see a new TorqueFlite HD 8-speed automatic transmission and a 3.42 rear-axle ratio with the 2025 RAM 2500. 

2025 RAM 2500 Exterior Styling Updates

The RAM 2500 enters 2025 with a thoroughly modernized exterior. Look for uniquely designed and updated grilles and new wheel options across the lineup. LED headlamps and incandescent taillights are standard, and premium versions are available on certain trims. 

2025 RAM 2500 Technology & Safety Updates

An improved Uconnect® system anchors the RAM 2500 technology updates. Look for a larger digital presence, including a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, and a segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen. Everyone will feel connected and in command around Hahnville and beyond. The passenger screen is only visible to the front passenger and features an HDMI plug to connect a device to the screen directly.
